Course Information

Q: Can I take more than one language in a summer?
A: No. The classes meet at the same times.

Q: When do classes meet?
A: Classes meet from 8:30 - 10:30 AM, and again at 11:00 - 1:00PM (four hours a day) Monday through Friday.

Q: Do I need to attend class daily?
A: Yes. If you need to be absent from class two or more consecutive days, you must discuss this with the SASLI administrative staff. Due to the intensity of summer courses, your grade may be affected.

Q: Can I arrive late/leave early from SASLI?
A: Everyone must arrive for the first day of class. If you have special circumstances for leaving early, please contact the program coordinator.

Q: Can I take only one semester (4 weeks) instead of 8?
A: No. If you attend only 4 weeks, you will only receive a grade for the class you attended and, due to our billing procedures, you will be charged for the entire program.

Q: If I need to drop out of SASLI, what is the refund policy?
A: SASLI follows the refund policy listed in the UW-Madison timetable for summer session 2009. Due to the short duration of the course, the refund policy is very strict. If you have an emergency and must leave SASLI, please contact the program coordinator before you leave, or you may lose all of your program fee.

Q: How do I get my transcripts?
A: You must requestion your transcripts directly from the Registrar's office. Please click here for the Transcript Request Page.
