Mandira Bhaduri (Elementary Bengali) received her MA in Comparative Literature From Jadavpur University in Kolkata in 1989. She is a native Bangla speaker. Bhaduri currently works as a Bangla Lecturer at the University of Chicago. She taught Bengali at the South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI) in the summers of 2007, 2006, and 2005. She started the Bangla Program in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Fall, 2004 and taught there until 2007. She has also worked as a Bengali language instructor at The American Institute of Indian Studies for twelve years. Bhaduri is interested in modern pedagogy for language teaching .
